'Where Are We?' 2007-2020
This installation was Zory’s response to the permanent collection of the Foundling Museum.
She used John Berger’s title “Where Are We?”. In his book called “Hold Every-Thing Dear” he states: ‘People everywhere-under very different conditions are asking themselves-“Where are we?”. The question is historical, not geographical. What are we living through? ’ (Hold Every-Thing Dear – Dispatches on Survival and Resistance page 36).
